THE COMPETITION
The F1 in Schools challenge is the biggest STEM program in the world with more than 35,000 Australian students participating each year, and 9 million students internationally. This challenge requires us to design, test, manufacture, and assemble a miniature Formula 1 car that can reach speeds of 80 km/h, down a 25-meter track.

Aside from the car, we are also required to market our brand and acquire sponsors. The program entails us to draft two portfolios; one about the engineering process & the research surrounding it, & one about our team development & branding (enterprise). Our portfolios also have to have a strong aesthetic appeal, for this, there is a graphic design process that we have to follow.
This program focuses on developing employment skills, learn leadership, team building, project management, public speaking, business, marketing, and collaboration.
For all five members, we each have our roles; all vital for success within the competition. A project director, resources manager, a graphics designer, a design engineer, and a structural engineer. The responsibility for the team is divided into two parts: Enterprise and engineering, where everyone works in their given area.
